Juen Yang

Hi, I’m Juen! I'm someone who enjoys learning by doing.

Although I'm naturally quiet and enjoy reading, I've found that some of my greatest learning happens when I turn ideas into action. I enjoy understanding how things work, solving problems, and continuously improving through experience.

In 2025, my brother and I started J & J Nature Touch, a youth-led business creating natural wellness products. What began as a family project gradually became an opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship, leadership, and serving our community. We've participated in community markets, served thousands of customers, partnered with local organizations, and mentored younger students who wanted to explore entrepreneurship.

Why Entrepreneurship?

When I first started our business, I thought entrepreneurship was mainly about creating products and making sales. As I met customers at local markets, I realized it was really about listening, understanding people's needs, solving problems, and creating something that genuinely adds value to their lives.

Each market became more than a place to sell products—it became a classroom. Every customer conversation taught me something new about communication, empathy, and decision-making. Those experiences inspired me to learn not only how businesses operate, but also how innovation can create meaningful and lasting impact.

Because of this curiosity, I continue looking for opportunities to deepen my understanding of entrepreneurship. This summer, I am attending the Academic Talent Development Program (ATDP) at UC Berkeley, where I am studying Introduction to Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I hope to better understand how innovative ideas become successful ventures and how thoughtful leaders build organizations that serve their communities.

Beyond entrepreneurship, I enjoy writing and reflecting on what I learn. I have published articles in both English and Chinese, and writing has helped me organize my thoughts, communicate more clearly, and grow as both a student and a leader. Whether I am teaching younger students, volunteering in my community, or writing about my experiences, I enjoy sharing ideas that may encourage others to pursue their own interests.

As I prepare for college, I hope to continue studying business and economics while learning from professors, classmates, and real-world experiences. More importantly, I want to become someone who combines curiosity with integrity, uses innovation to solve meaningful problems, and creates opportunities that positively impact others.

Thank you for visiting my website. I hope it gives you a glimpse not only of what I have accomplished, but also of the person I am continuing to become.
